BACKPACKING GOKARNA
Gokarna is a small cozy town in Western Coast of Karnataka known for its peaceful and serene beaches, clean waters and a relaxed vibe. Gokarna is also popular among Hindu Pilgrims who come here to pray at Sri Mahabaleshwara Swami Temple.
Gokarna has a unique coastline with golden sands and crystal
blue waters. Between the five beautiful beaches that it hosts, there are green
hills covered with coconut and palm trees. We take you on trek along this
coastline. We hike on the trail and hop from one beach to another. We would not
only have the beach fun, but also Xperience magnificent views while doing so.

Paradise Beach is an isolated beach, with big boulders and rocks around it making it a really picturesque place. It is accessible only by a trek or a ferry.
We start the trail from Paradise Beach and move towards the Half Moon Beach. On the way, we spot different cliffs, boulders and tiny beaches – some of which we will have to cross and others are for people who want to push their limits, or just take a Selfie. Also, keep your eyes open towards the sea – don’t forget about the Dolphins!
We arrive at the Half Moon Beach – the name again comes from its Crescent Shape like the Moon. We relax there and chill for some time before moving on to the Om Beach.
On the way to Om Beach, we stop at the Om Beach View Point and take a look of the whole Om Beach before reaching there. We spend some time on the Om Beach. You can swim, chill, eat and drink or even go for the second round of Kayaking!
We then move towards the final beach of the day – Kudle Beach! We end the trek here and pick up your luggage and explore the local market, buying handicraft items, musical instruments & souvenirs to end this memorable Xperience.

WHEN & HOW TO REACH
ARRIVE IN GOKARNA – 29TH FEB | BY 10 AM
DEPART GOKARNA – 1ST MARCH | POST 6 PM
Buses from Mumbai and Pune will drop you till Madangeri or Gokarna Cross (9km from Gokarna) Catch a local government bus, taxi, auto or shared cabs coming from Kumta going towards Gokarna to reach the Gokarna Bus Station. You should get a local bus every 30 minutes and it is dirt cheap. You can take a little walk from Gokarna Bus Station to the campsite. Alternatively you can take an auto but it will be bit overpriced. We will send you the location of Campsite personally before the trip.
People reaching Gokarna in train should walk towards the nearest bus station a few hundred metres outside the railway station, on the main road. You will get a bus in a few minutes that will drop you to Gokarna Bus Station. Autos will flock you and charge you a approximately Rs 300 for a 9 km journey, and a local bus will be charging you about Rs 10-20.
We would recommend you book your bus/train tickets ASAP as there are limited seats only. For the journey back, we would recommend you take a bus or transport back after 6 PM so that you do not have to rush back to the campsite and bus station. We would generally be walking and hiking everywhere for the trip and transport is not readily available at all the places. So a later bus would give you more buffer time to enjoy properly.
Feel free to reach out to us if you need any assistance in booking your travels, we would love to help you out! See you on board!

I had a wonderful experience with Xplore The Earth! I had a chance to explore, tiny part of the earth with them. Organizers did their homework nicely!? I didn’t have to worry about a single thing. Best thing I liked about my journey to Shivrajpur is the location.? It was heart touching!
