2-Day Udaipur Itinerary & Places To Visit
DAY 1
- CITY PALACE
Built in 1537 by Maharana Udai Singh II, the palace complex features luxurious rooms, courtyards, and gardens with intricate mirror work, murals, and marble interiors. Parts of the palace now serve as a museum where the public can view artifacts from the royal era, coins, sculptures, and a collection of historic paintings.

Lake Pichola is a man-made lake and you can do boating by taking a ticket at the City Palace which will even take you to Jagmandir Island.

It is an 18th-century lakeside haveli restored into a museum showcasing unique artifacts, intricate mirror work, and traditional Rajasthani architecture. It is most popular for its evening cultural show Dharohar that involves various folk dances & a puppet show.

DAY 2
- BAHUBALI HILLS
Bahubali Hills at Badi Lake is a beautiful spot with a scenic backdrop. Perfect for photography.
Timings: 7 AM to 6:30 PM | Entry: ₹10 - SAJJANGARH MONSOON PALACE
Built in 1884, Saajjangarh Monsoon Palace offers panoramic views of the Arravalis, the Fateh Sagar Lake and the Udaipur city. The palace also has a basic museum but really the view is the best part about it.

Saheliyon Ki Bari used to be the housing for the maidens during the king’s rule, and today it doubles down as a beautiful garden. There is a fountain at the center and in general this is a good spot for a photo-op.

Fateh Sagar lake is huge. There are walkways and small parks by the boundary of the lake. You can even do boating at the lake which is far cheaper in comparison to Lake Pichola. Nehru Garden which is an island garden (under renovation) in the middle of the lake.

Now, if time is not a constraint, then I will recommend extending your trip by 3 more days to a total of 5 days. And if you cannot, then pick and choose what suits best and add that to your Udaipur Itinerary.
DAY 3
- CHITTORGARH FORT
Built in the 7th century by Chitrangada Mori, Chittorgarh Fort is the largest fort complex in India. It is so huge that you will need a vehicle to see the various structures. Having your own vehicle or the one that you may have rented from Udaipur should be fine. Some important structures inside the Chittorgarh Fort are Rana Kumbha Palace, Vijay Stambh, Padmini Palace, Meera Temple and Gaumukh Reservoir.

- RAJSAMAND LAKE
Built in 17th century by Rana Raj Singh of Mewar, Rajsamand Lake is a huge man-made lake with intricately carved pavilions. You can do boating as well as visit the lakeside Dwarkadish Temple.

Kumbhalgarh Fort is a UNESCO World Heritage site, popular for its 36km long wall which is the second-longest after the Great Wall of China. It is the highest fort in Rajasthan and has seven fortified gates. Kumbhalgarh also has a Wildlife Sanctuary where the jungle safari takes you to multiple spots.

- RANAKPUR JAIN TEMPLE
Ranakpur Jain Temple is is a 15th-century temple, famed for its carved pillars and marble work. I would recommend taking the audio guide as it will not only offer historical insights but also explanations of the carvings and the core principles of Jainism.
